Born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley, I know this valley is a unique and wonderful place. I am grateful for the opportunity to live here and so excited about being in real estate. My job is to fulfill people’s dreams whether it is finding and buying a property they have their heart set on, or marketing and selling a property at a price that represents true value. What better place to do this than a place that is part of my heart and that I know like the back of my hand? After skiing all the slopes, hiking and biking the trails, going to school here (graduated Salutatorian of my high school class at GSHS), floating the river countless times, and helping build the pedestrian mall in downtown Glenwood, it is so much fun for me to share my experience of this area with others. I did venture away from the valley for several years to attend college in North Carolina at Wake Forest University, where I graduated with honors, and to work on Wall Street in New York City at Lehman Brothers for 4 Investment Professionals as a Series 7 and Series 66 registered Sales Assistant. During these years I honed my skills in leadership, negotiation, listening skills, perseverance, compassion, problems solving, and old fashioned hard work. At Wake Forest, my most defining moments were being Student Chair for the Year of Honor and Ethics, Student Body Secretary, Student Body President, and a Welcome Speaker for the Nationally Televised Presidential Debate of 2000 between Bush and Gore at Wake Forest University. In the Big Apple, I stayed busy as a 3 year volunteer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Pediatric Cancer Center in New York, Co-President of the New York City Wake Forest Alumni Association, a 2 year volunteer for the New York Mission Society, member of the Young Alumni Development Board for Wake Forest University and a Co-Chair of the Women’s Initiatives Leading Lehman Private Investment Management mentoring program (a diversity initiative) at Lehman Brothers. My years in North Carolina and New York were wonderful, broadening and very rich. However, it was only a matter of time before I heard the call of the Rockies and was ready to move back to Colorado. What I missed most about the Roaring Fork Valley when I was away was that everyone is so friendly, helpful, kind and most importantly, genuine. Living and working here, I look forward to continuing that tradition, combining my strong set of personal characteristics with my knowledge of this area to help others. I love to work, so don’t hesitate to be in touch if I can be helpful to you!

Scott Bayens GRI
Scott was destined to be a part of the "Aspen Story". Born in northern California, raised and educated in Texas, Scott was introduced to the area early on by his grandparents who had a home in Snowmass Village. He began his professional career in the mid 90’s as a television news producer, reporter and anchor for ABC, NBC and FOX affiliates in Colorado, Alabama, North Carolina and Washington State. Yearning for more permanent, healthful and inspirational surroundings, Scott realized a life-long dream of living and working in the mountains by moving to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2002. As news director for KSNO-FM he covered the devastating Coal Seam fire in Glenwood Springs that summer. Later he represented the local business community at the Aspen Chamber Resort Association specializing in sales and marketing. Capitalizing on his strong interpersonal and organizational skills, Scott earned his real estate license in 2005 and helped his clients buy and sell more than $15 million of inventory in his first 18 months as a broker. Since then Scott has continued to serve Buyers and Sellers from Aspen to Rifle by providing valuable information and advice, timely follow-up and follow-through, and simply getting the job done for his many loyal clients. As a former board member of the Aspen Young Professionals Association, current Director of Political and Legislative Affairs for the Aspen Board of Realtors and a member of Realtors for Wilderness, Scott has clearly earned the respect of his peers. Scott’s professional and personal philosophy; work hard, play hard, value every friendship and make the most of every moment! Scott’s mission; help his clients discover all the rewards of living, working and playing here in the heart of the Rockies!
